Nurse.com Salary Report: 7 Findings

1. Median salary for an RN: $78,000
2. Median salary for an APRN: $120,000
3. Median salary for an LPN/LVN: $48,000
4. The median salary for a male RN was $14,000 higher than the median salary for a female RN.
5. 30% of nurses surveyed said they never negotiate salary versus 18% who said they always do.
6. 40% of male RNs indicated they negotiate salary either always or most of the time, compared to 31% of female RNs.
7. 17% of nurses in the sample were represented by a union.
