- Median salary for an RN: $78,000
- Median salary for an APRN: $120,000
- Median salary for an LPN/LVN: $48,000
- The median salary for a male RN was $14,000 higher than the median salary for a female RN.
- 30% of nurses surveyed said they never negotiate salary versus 18% who said they always do.
- 40% of male RNs indicated they negotiate salary either always or most of the time, compared to 31% of female RNs.
- 17% of nurses in the sample were represented by a union.
