The Brookings Institution recently released a supplement to its metro monitor which focused on healthcare and its role in the economic recession and recovery in the nation’s 100 largest metropolitan areas. Three lists were posted on healthsprocket this week which highlighted this data. The first, 11 Surprising facts about the role of healthcare in economic recession and recovery in the nation’s 100 largest metropolitan areas, came straight from the supplement while two others, 10 Metro Areas With Lowest Levels of Healthcare-Based Employment and 10 Metro Areas With Highest Levels of Healthcare-Based Employment, came from data Becker's Hospital Review collected from the supplement.
