This week the Council for Affordable Health Insurance released their report "Health Insurance Mandates in the States, 2011." It finds that the number of state mandated benefits increased by over 100 mandates to 2,262 nationwide last year, up from 2,156 in 2010. Healthsprocket has three lists which contain findings from this report. Two of which deal with total mandates by state; Most Mandated Benefits by State and Least Mandated Benefits by State. The third list is Most Popular Mandates by Benefit Type.
