Eight Findings from Mercer's Worksite Medical Clinics 2012 Survey Report

- 82% of firms listed reducing lost employee productivity as a primary motivator for installing a worksite clinic
- 75% said controlling overall healthcare costs was a top motivating factor in their clinical offerings
- 73% indicated managing employees' health risks and chronic conditions as a primary program driver
- 87% of employers polled rated their programs as generally successful
- More than two-thirds of them have not been able to measure their clinics' financial return-on-investment
- 37% of employers with 5,000 or more employees operate their own health clinics
- 15% of companies with 500 to 4,999 employees have workplace clinics
- 70 percent of companies with worksite clinics offer either no co-payments or reduced co-payments for primary care services at these clinics compared to those outside the company doors
