- Perceived information blocking by health IT developers: 17% of hospitals
- Perceived information blocking by State, regional and/or health information exchanges : 19% of hospitals
Notes: Analysis of a 2021 survey of Chief Information Officers or their delegates from 2,092 nonfederal acute care hospitals in the U.S. *Information blocking consists of practices likely to interfere with, prevent, or materially discourage access, exchange, or use of electronic health information. The 21st Century Cures Act Final Rule prohibits information blocking.
