- Medicare beneficiaries: 175 hospitalizations per 100,000 Medicare beneficiaries
- Dual Eligibles (beneficiaries enrolled in both Medicare and Medicaid): 473 hospitalizations per 100,000
- End-stage renal disease (ESRD) patients: 1,341 hospitalizations per 100,000
- Blacks: 465 hospitalizations per 100,000
- Hispanics: 258 hospitalizations per 100,000
- Asians: 187 hospitalizations per 100,000
- Whites: 123 hospitalizations per 100,000
- Rural areas: 57 hospitalizations per 100,000
- Urban/suburban areas: 205 hospitalizations per 100,000
Notes: Preliminary data show nearly 110,000 Medicare beneficiaries were hospitalized for COVID-19-related treatment between January 1 and May 16, 2020.
