2. Cardiology: wait time increased 26%
3. Orthopedic surgery: wait time increased 48%
4. Family medicine: wait time decreased 30%
5. Dermatology: wait time increased 7%
6. Obstetrics/gynecology: wait time increased 19%

Notes: Results from a survey of 1,034 physician offices across 15 large metropolitan areas. The overall average wait time for an appointment is 26 days.
