AJMC: 5 Characteristics Associated with Patients Remaining in an ACO for 24 Months or More

1. being in older age groups
2. having a non-HMO health plan
3. lower predicted spending at entry
4. more medical spending for care performed within the ACO during the initial quarter of membership
5. lower monthly hospitalization rates compared with those who left
