- 28% of Americans reported experiencing a barrier to health in the past year due to a social need
- 21% prioritized paying for food or rent above seeing a doctor or obtaining medication
- 17% lacked transportation to go to the doctor or pick up medication
- 13% were sick and had no one who could help
- 9% couldn’t see a doctor regularly because they lacked stable housing
