LFT Survey: Hospital Staff Hiring & Turnover, May 2017

1. 42.8 percent of respondents have been with their current hospital for fewer than two years
2. 65.7 percent have been with their current hospital for fewer than five years
3. 37.0 percent of candidates plan to leave their current hospital within the next two years
4. 68.6 percent of candidates plan to leave within five years
5. 50 percent of all candidates worked for at least five hospital organizations in their career
6. 3.9 percent of candidates have stayed with a single hospital for their entire career
