- Aetna said between 2014 and 2016 it lost approximately $700 million.
- Aetna projects a $200 million loss for 2017, despite a drop in membership. Aetna has only 255,000 members through the exchange.
- Analysts believe other payers are in "wait-and-see mode." Many analysts believe the payers will act after the Trump administration decides if it will continue cost-sharing reduction payments.
- Iowa is at risk of having no exchange plans in 2018.
